Tigella
Tigella is a typical Emilian product that takes its name from the utensils used to bake the terracotta discs, known as "tigelle." They were often decorated, and one of the most recurring symbols is the flower of life, which, in ancient times, was a sign of prosperity and fertility.
It is a tasty appetizer but also a main dish, paired with soft or tender cheeses (such as caciotta, squacquerone and stracchino), aged cheeses, cured meats, mountain pesto, pickled vegetables and pickled vegetables.
