Barolo DOCG
“The king of wines”, Barolo is known for its richness of flavors and aromas. Produced from the Nebbiolo grape, it is garnet red in the glass with orange reflections. Intense and complex bouquet, fruity, but with evident spicy notes. The persistence, the great structure and the softness are confirmed on the palate. The history of Barolo is linked to the noble Falletti family, a very powerful banker family who acquired the entire possessions of the town of Barolo from the Municipality of Alba in 1250, becoming the Marquesses of Barolo. It is above all thanks to the latest exponents of the Falletti family and Camillo Benso Conte di Cavour that Barolo becomes a dry, important and “trendy Bordeaux” wine.
